Natalie G. Mueller is an archaeologist and paleoethnobotanist who specializes in the historical ecology of North America and the origins of agriculture.

By integrating morphometric, molecular, ecological, and experimental data, Mueller studies the domestication of plants and the subsequent evolution of agrobiodiversity throughout the Holocene. Her research also concerns the development and spread of social institutions related to food production and food security.
