Teresa’s research explores the formation of hunter-gatherer territoriality beyond the traditional framework of Human Behavioral Ecology (HBE). She investigates early human habitation choices—particularly in relation to craft organization—through GIS modeling and geoarchaeological approaches. She has conducted fieldwork in China, the Philippines, Belize, Malawi, Morocco, Ethiopia, and the United States.
