I am a sociocultural anthropologist in training. I explore how nation-state-led educational and language reforms & policies impact the lives of Indigenous communities, specifically in Latin America, with a focus on Indigenous language ideologies. The areas of research framing my work include globalization and cultural change, the digital world, the intersections of race, language, ethnicity, and nationalisms, as well as migration and transborder socioeconomic realities of Indigenous peoples.
