Han Jiang is an anthropological archaeologist specializing in bioarchaeology. She is currently a PhD student in archaeology in the Department of Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Her research interests broadly concern population health during times of sociocultural transitions. Through a combination of bioarchaeological and biomolecular methods, her current work explores how environmental variables, such as diet, disease, and social stratifications, shaped adolescent development and health in early China. She is also interested in how the introduction of novel livestock species and shifting husbandry interface influenced health landscape.
