Friday Archaeology Presents: Dr. Zhichun Jing Department of Anthropology, University of British Columbia

Dr. Jing’s areas of interest include the archaeology of Shang civilization, early urbanism, culture contact, environmental archaeology, the archaeology of collapse and sustainability, archaic jades, and archaeological ceramics. He has conducted fieldwork in China, Greece, and the United States. His current work has focused on the archaeology in Anyang, the last capital of the Shang Dynasty,  in collaboration with the Institute of Archaeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
